Civ Rev is a blasphemy on the series. It's the deepest, most complex TBS on the market that's also (amazingly) very easy for beginners to get into. I'll never play it, but if it gets more people interested the in the real Civ experience (and as a result brings more people into the online pool)...
I think their attempt to "expand the userbase" lies within Civilization Revolution (Civ-lite for consoles). The old school nature of Civ gameplay pretty much ensures that it will never be a Wii-like sensation. I doubt streamlining the PC version's UI more than they already have (as Jungl...

I never did pay for Warlords, and I'm happy since this expansion includes EVERYTHING except the scenarios. And I also like the Refuse option in UN, instead of voting NO every other turn or so.
Thanks Jungleroom (and original guy who compiled it). I'm a hair away from just getting this from Steam for 3 dollars less. Any reason not to? Is there a lock of Sid Meier's hair included in the box? I'm amazed at how much shit is in this expansion though, kind of wish I hadn't paid for Warlords.

And I'd just like to add: What kind of gamer are you? Never played Civ? Racing to bronze working and 'pults and obliterating your neighbors shitty archers is an experience unto itself.
