Capcom is really supportive of WiiWare between this and Mega Man 9. As long as they don't jack up prices or chop up individual Phoenix Wright games into tiny episodes (which is almost the same thing as jacking up prices), I support the decision to port awesome DS games to WiiWare.
•7 Achievements That Will Make You Cry [ScrewAttack] This list digs up the seven most inhumane achievements - including Mega Man 9's Gamer's Day (beat the game five times in a single day) - that even the most masochistic gamer would regret pursuing. Capcom also gave us the Seven Day Survivo...
The Kubrick/Bearbrick Mega Man set is actually a Rockman set, but I figured our North American readers might know him better by his bastardized name. Rockman looks vaguely pissed to be packaged alongside a clear blue Rockman fan-bear, but such is his lot in life. Not even swapping out his he...
The get-up was built by an Adafruit Wave Shield user, connecting the gadget to an Arduino system. I know none of what that means, really, but it allows for the motion-activated sounds. And the soundtrack of course is customizable. So you can bet your bippy someone's dreaming up a Mega Man vers...
Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom, with its colorful cast of Capcom characters and throwbacks from Japanese animation company Tatsunoko productions, is almost more about over-the-top and fun fights than it is about skill and tactics. Almost.
From the Mega Man continuity, it's Zero - from Mega Man X, or Rockman X since we're deferring to the Japanese titling here. Zero's official announcement for the North American localization of Tatsunoko vs. Capcom confirms a rumor about a month old. IGN got the exclusive reveal earlier today...
Acclaimed short-story writer and poet Raymond Carver died today. He was an influential force in American literature and an all around mega man. You know who else is a mega man? Mega Man, the new video-game character who will likely be bigger than Carver, Shakespeare, and even the printed wo...
As for HRH Hippo, I thought that 200-pounds-of-suet physique looked familiar. "I used a BLOB build [from the X-Men continuity] figure as the base, and unfortunately I had to make the legs not movable to make it look right." Custom Guts-Dozer figure by Donald "KodyKoala" Kennedy [TinyCart...
At a screening of his latest game last week, Capcom's famed developer Keiji Inafune, the man behind such hits as Mega Man, Onimusha and Dead Rising, warned that Japanese game development has one foot in the grave. But then Inafune said that his latest game is proof that Japan can stay releva...
As reported by Destructoid, Capcom's Keiji Inafune - a development fixture going back to the original Mega Man - was unimpressed by the games being shown on the TGS floor. Except for Capcom's of course. Keiji Inafune Dumps on Tokyo Game Show 2009 [Destructoid, via VG247]
Snow's blog on Capcom-Unity showcased the six jumpers, ironed on with Dark Void, a zombie from Dead Rising, Mega Man, Salamander from Lost Planet 2, and the adorable Street Fighter babies (although I don't think they're from this piece of work.)
Mega Man fans might have been looking forward to "Mega Man: Complete History," which Barnes & Noble had listed for pre-order earlier this year. Publisher Chronicle Books told Go Nintendo the project has been scrapped. Mega Man Complete History Book Cancelled [Go Nintendo]
Bungie, Inafune says, is an "amazing studio", and he was curious how Bungie made its titles to see if Capcom could ever add some of that je-ne-sais-pas to Capcom games. "I wanted to come down to Bungie in order to see just how well our philosophies on game design matched up," Inafune adds. "If t...
Some sloppy web design may have revealed the final four characters for the North American version of Capcom's Tatsunoko VS. Capcom, and one of them has covered wars, ya know? These characters would appear to be Mega Man Zero, Dead Rising's Frank West, Yatterman #2, and Joe Asakura, AKA Jas...
There was a time when the heart of video game design was inarguably in Japan. But increasingly game developers from around the world, including Japan, see that seat of power moving west. Among the developers on hand was the producer of Lost Planet, the designer of Mega Man and creator of Dead...

The Megamanathon will likely last into Sunday, Willingham said. They started with original Mega Man, and have been drawing titles out of a hat at random. They're playing the Mega Man Anniversary Collection and Mega Man X Collection on a Wii, using a HORI Digital GameCube pad. You can follow t...
Galaxy Man: level consists of portals that fling Mega Man all around the level, maintaining his momentum with each fling (a lot like Portal, actually), plus enemies that divide into multiple copies of themselves. Concrete Man: the Guts Man of Mega Man 9
A retro-themed Mega Man 9 is a surprising move by Capcom! You know what's less surprising? The news the game won't just be appearing on Nintendo's WiiWare service. Really, why would Capcom turn down free money? Turns out the game's also destined for the PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Ar...
When you think Capcom, you think a couple of decades worth of good times. Street Fighter, Resident Evil, Mega Man...good times. But which of those series has brought us the best times? Who knows. That's a subjective question. One you could, however, try and answer by seeing how many people bought...
And, hey, not a bad debut for the Xbox 360 version of Assassin's Creed. The PS3 version doesn't hit Japan for over a month, so we'll see if Sony fans help it chart well then, too. The following represent sales from November 26th to December 2nd.
It may not have the allure of a new character announcement, say, Mega Man or Bubbles from Clu Clu Land, but I'm sure there are many Super Smash Bros. fans looking forward to inputting a series of Friend Codes in the Wii version. The Smash Bros. Dojo writes today of the exciting, and quite expecte...
Guess what Japan likes? Dragon Quest, obviously, as the Nintendo DS remake of DQIV moved over a half-million copies in its debut week. The slime-ridden adventure is just one of many new games to chart this week. In fact, nine of the top ten are all brand new games, with only Mario Party DS makin...
The PlayStation 2 showed the Wii who's the boss of Japan this week, at least in terms of Konami' s Jikkyou Powerful Pro Baseball sales. The PS2 version trounced the Wii's by a factor of three, proving that baseball and PlayStation still matter to the Japanese. Nintendo had the last laugh, of c...

Video game music cover bands are a dime a dozen. Regurgitating NES tunes with the standard guitar-bass-drums set up was cute when the Advantage and the Minibosses did it, but now, now it's just bordering on sad. That's why when someone writes rapid-fire lyrics and actually sings the melody...
