In an uncharacteristically specific statement when it comes to putting dates on things, Blizzard chief Mike Morhaime has revealed that the public StarCraft II beta test will begin this "summer".

I really think macro should always play a huge roll in any RTS no matter the style of gameplay. I really do hope that Blizzard has thought long and hard about what makes StarCraft so much better than every other RTS made and takes great strides to capture that again in StarCraft 2.
