Review: We Cheer 2

Thumbnail Namco Bandai's We Cheer was a unique game for the Nintendo Wii that turned your Wiimotes into cherleading pom-poms, but suffered from a condition that afflicts many Wii games, inaccurate controls that threaten to make the game feel broken. Luckily, the sequel, We Cheer 2, manages to do wh...

But don't get too excited. These hacks only work on Wii emulators which most of us don't have access to and are probably illegal. I guess all that this really means for us is that we can look forward to fancier looking Mario hack YouTube videos. The future is here!

Thumbnail Interestingly, while I eschewed the balance games of the original Wii Fit in favor of strength training and aerobic exercise, the 15 new balance games included in Wii Fit Plus are pulling all my focus this time around. Nintendo has really integrated the Balance Board into the games more, s...

Opinion: Hands On: Deca Sports 2

Thumbnail Hudson had a surprise hit with Deca Sports on the Nintendo Wii, shipping over two million units, so it's a natural that they're releasing a sequel, Deca Sports 2, due out September 29. The game features ten sports: Tennis, Speed Skating, Synchronized Swimming, Road Racing (on motorcycle...

Review: NyxQuest: Kindred Spirits

I hate it when reviews for Wii games, be it retail or WiiWare, use the phrase "...for a Wii game" as some sort of backhanded complement, as if things cannot play, sound, or look good on the system. Using the Wuhu Island setting of Wii Fit (guess it saves them from having to program a whole new environment from scratch), Wii Sports Resort offers up 12 new activities to enjoy. Well...
