When deciding whether they were going to buy a Wii, my mom and step-dad asked me if it came with Wii Sports. Then they asked if they would ever need to buy another game again. The Wii's real innovation has less to do with the Wiimote than the ideas and concepts behind it. It has made everyone stop and think about what you 'need' in order to have a succesful platform. Nintendo's focus is very different than MS and Sony, they look at a game console as a way to sell softwa...

Wii Sports is the only game that can be ONLY played on Wii, not on any other console. Wii Play isn't really even that much of a game; it's more a seies of tutorials on how to use the Wii Remote, and it does its job well enough. It's a small collection of minigames, with the mechanics of each designed to teach you the various way the Wii Remote can be used to play games.

Gameplay/Control For gamers, Zelda will probably be number one...for people who are new to this industry, or who used to play and have left...I think Wii Sports is going to be the big draw," Perris says. I know what she means, and it comes down to the complexity of controls.
But it's starting to look like supply's going to be bad. How bad? Well, Amazon.com sold out of all of its Wii pre-orders on September 15th, the same day they went live.
